Marinduqueños are peace loving and friendly people. Crime rate in the province is at its minimal level and crime solution efficiency is highly rated at 97.3%, thus earning the province the highest rank in the local region for peace and order. Marinduque remains as the second most peaceful province in the Philippines next to Batanes island. This status can also be attributed to the close rapport among the local government officials, private sectors, the academe, the youth and the community.
