The Marinduque Wildlife Sanctuary, identified under the provisions of RA
7586 otherwise known as the National Integrated Protected Area System of
1992, covers 8,827.96 hectares located at the western side of Gasan,
northeast side of Sta. Cruz, southern side of Buenavista, northwest side
of Boac and at the eastern side of Torrijos. The proposed protected area is within the jurisdiction of thirty two (32) barangays in these five (5) municipalities. |
